Tip #1. The most important thing you need to concentrate on is your diet. You should make proper alterations in your regular diet, make sure that it contains very less cholesterol and try to avoid fried food as much as you can. Also, it is a good idea to remove all fattening substances from your diet.

Tip #2. Most people think that crunches are a sure shot way to getting ripped abs. Unfortunately, people are unaware that this exercise puts strain on the neck as well as the back, which can have negative effects on your health in the long run.

Do not exercise for more than 20 minutes every session to develop your abs.

Tip #5. If you want washboard abs, you need to hold the French fries. You should put a stop to fattening meals due to the fact that you are working out. It is a good idea to perform cardio on an empty stomach. This way your body is able to burn body fat for fuel and not the carbohydrates that you just consumed.

Tip #6. It is important for you to alter your diet but that does not mean you have to follow a very strict diet. Simple alterations like leaving out sugar, calories, fat etc. from your diet can help you get one step closer to the chiseled body you have dreamed of. Also, check that your diet is rich in protein. Make sure to exercise regularly and remember to consume lots of water.

Who doesn’t want to flaunt a washboard stomach? Sure, six pack abs look great, but remember getting it takes a lot of dedication, time, and energy. That being said, one thing is for sure, all the time and energy you invest is definitely worth it.

A fit and a well shaped body, works a great deal to boost your personality, and most importantly gives you a feel good factor. There are several easy ways to get you started. To be able to shape your body the way you want requires you to follow specific exercises. Your instructor is the best person to guide you through the process. On that note, here are 5 steps that you may follow to help you get off the mark, towards your goal:

#1 Protein packed, lean meals: a clean and proper diet is the first step towards achieving your goal. No matter how good a workout program you follow, it won’t be of any use unless and until you eat healthily. In order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories that what you consume. A good diet plan should ideally consist of high protein in-take that contributes towards muscle building and cutting down fat. A healthy diet plan along with a good workout program is likely to give you best results when it comes to loosing significant amount of weight and developing six pack abs.

#2 Lose extra fat: fat is important for your body but not excess fat. In order to get a great looking body, your aim should be losing the excess fat from your frame. This can only be achieved, through a sound workout program. A good exercise routine should include 4 days of cardio exercises and remaining 3 days of weigh training. Of course, you can follow an easier plan, to get you started.

#3 Increased intake of water: drinking enough water is a very important part of any exercise program, yet it is often overlooked. Proper intake of water prevents you from getting dehydrated, helps in the healthy functioning of your system and helps stave off those hunger pangs that lead to over eating. Therefore, it is advisable that you drink at least 8-9 glasses of water every day if not more.

#4 Defining Abs: in order to define your abs and shape your body the way you want, you need to do some specific exercises that are designed to shape your abs.

#5 Keep your motivation alive: as I mentioned earlier, there is no magic easy way to get a well-shaped body. Therefore, have patience, stay motivated and you will achieve your target sooner than you expected.

Before you start your workout program, let me warn you it may require you to change your present lifestyle significantly. Therefore, I’ll advise you to go ahead with your plan only if you are ready for it. Begin with small alterations in your daily routine, and you will be on your way towards those magnificent, rock hard six pack abs. Good Luck!

Digest Some Digestion Tips

Seems like the public has been brainwashed in the last several decades to think that digestive acids produced by the stomach are the root of digestive problems. Antacid tablets and liquids have been around for years. Now the latest supposed remedy for stomach problems is the “acid blockers” that have been advertised so heavily on television and in magazines. They have become one of the best-selling over-the-counter drug categories in history. Some of the advertisements even claim they can stop the production of stomach acid for up to 12 hours.

The question is, how will food get digested without stomach acid. The answer is, it won’t, which leads to three problems for people who use acid blockers. The problems get worse the longer ou use one of these drugs.

Firstly, proteins won’t be broken down properly and certain minerals won’t be absorbed, because they require stomach acid for this process. When these improperly digested substances reach the intestines, gas-forming bacteria multiply quicker than election-year promises, leading to a serious gas problem.

Secondly, low stomach acid eventually causes a protein deficiency. Your body then robs protein from joint surfaces and transports it to areas where it’s needed, leading to possible arthritis.

Thirdly, a lack of stomach acid also impairs the digestion and assimilation of calcium, which can result in many problems, including muscle cramps and osteoporosis.

There is a simple way to stop this problem and that is to eat the protein foods at the beginning of the meal. Most of us in this U.S. eat a salad as the first part of a meal. The carbohydrates that make up the salad require no hydrochloric acid for digestion. Nevertheless, the stomach dumps all the hydrochloric acid in to begin with. Then when the protein food (meat, fish, beans, cheese, etc.) needs the acid, there’s none left. So always eat the vegetable salad either with the protein food (with meal) or after, but not before.

If this is still not enough to stop the problem, you may need to help your stomach out by taking some hydrochloric acid in the form of betaine hydrochloride tablets. One really important point to remember here is to take one or two tablets after you eat. Whatever you do, don’t take them before or during the meal, which will shut off your natural acid production. Instead, you want your stomach to produce and secrete as much acid as it can first, then you can add the additional acid needed.

Once your digestive tract is re-acidified, the next step in improving your digestion is to provide a proper digestive enzyme. Many supplements are available so you should not have any trouble finding one but remember a good product will include acids and enzymes very similar to the ones produced by the stomach. You want to look for pepsin and betaine hydrochloride on the label. It should also include enzymes commonly produced by the pancreas, as well as the enzymes present in bile from the gallbladder.

An all-purpose digestive enzyme is bromelain. It’s a combination of protein-digesting enzymes that come from the and stems of the pineapple. When taken shortly after a meal, bromelain can relieve an upset stomach or heartburn. In addition, brmelain is an effective anti-inflammatory.The German Commission E (Germany’s equivalent to the U.S. FDA) has approved it for healing after surgery or injury. It can reduce swelling, bruising, pain and improve healing time.

Get the Most From Your Night Cream

If you are looking to help improve your skin and its natural renewal process then one of the best ways that you can do this is you are night cream. These help to hydrate and moisturise the skin as well as helping to keep the skin firm and tight. But you need to be careful of your choice of night cream as many can contain petroleum jelly, which can lead to the pores of the skin becoming clogged.

So if this is the case, why are so many skin care companies using such products? Well the main reason is because this is a very cheap ingredient that can be created and it is just a by product of crude oil that is extracted from the ground. Because it is a by-product from another product it is bound to contain a number of impurities that can damage the skin.

One thing that you are need to be aware of is that companies are not required to test their skin care products for any contamination. There are some companies that are now testing their products for purity levels, but these are very few and far between.

If you are looking for a good treatment that any cream that you should use need to be containing essential oils that are similar to the oils that are produced by the skin. One of the most common oils that is very similar is that of olive oil, so if you can find an olive oil based cream then you are very fortunate to have found such a product.

You can also use other oils to help hydrate and protect the skin and other common oils that are used are grape seed and also coconut oil. Grape seed oil is very light and can be absorbed into the skin at a very rapid rate, making it able to penetrate the layers of the skin.

Moist oils that are designed for the skin are not very oily, even though they are oils, so you can be a little liberal in the quantity of oils that you are putting onto your skin.

You can obtain olive oil in most stores and this can actually be applied to the skin. There is no need to dilute it all, and because this is considered to resemble sebum, you are helping your skin to hydrate and repair itself. It is essential that you care for your skin at night time, as this is the only time when your body is able to heal; and repair itself, which is something that cannot happen during the day.

It is true that no one wants to looking older than they actually are and this is why there are so many people are looking for the ultimate products that will help to care and protect their skin from the various elements.

Try to use products that are certified organic in order to prevent any damage to the skin as these are free from any harsh chemicals. You need to take time when it comes to buying skin products in order to get the best treatments available.

Elliptical Trainer Reviews - What You Need to Know When Choosing an Elliptical

So you’re buying an elliptical trainer. You’ll probably want to look at some elliptical trainer reviews before making your final choice.

But hold on - there are so many brands to choose from. And why so many different opinions?

One expert loves the Precor line, another thinks it’s too expensive for home use. One magazine gives a Proform elliptical their ‘budget buy’ award and another article says to go with a Schwinn.

With so many different elliptical models, features, brands and even reviews, it can be confusing to decide which elliptical is the best one for you.

Here are 3 things to consider when reading elliptical trainer reviews:

#1) It’s Just One Person’s Opinion.

Any review - from the magazine expert reviews to consumer reviews all have unique experiences and opinions. And, being human, they’re all going to have their preferences.

This is the case with any product, including ellipticals. For example, some people prefer McDonalds and others like Burger King. Some people love Haagen-Daz but for others it’s Ben and Jerry’s all the way.

So just because you really want to buy ‘Model X’ and another person doesn’t agree with you doesn’t make it the wrong buy for you. Try to determine exactly why this person likes a certain elliptical (for example, does it have a heavier flywheel than other models, does it feel more stable, does it have a longer warranty, etc.). Then you can see if that makes sense to you and fits in with what you need.

Listening to what other people have to say can be a valuable way to learn and gather information. In the end though, it’s your opinion that really matters.

#2) Who’s Writing the Review?

Ok, here’s where it gets a bit seedy. Manufacturers know that many people will probably go online and read elliptical trainer reviews before they buy.

While there are several online sites and stores that let you read ‘consumer reviews’, I’ve read so many of these that are clearly not written by an actual buyer, you wonder if you’re really getting an accurate picture of that elliptical.

Having reviewed ellipticals for seven years, I’ve noticed that there is a distinct language that actual elliptical buyers use. And those in the business (like manufacturers) speak an entirely different language - much more technical.

Some ‘user reviews’ use language that is so technical, my guess is that it’s written by either someone working for the company ( a good review) or someone workout for the competition (a bad review).

It’s not hard to tell these apart if you read enough of them. You’ll begin to see a pattern between the natural sounding ones and the technical sounding ones.

Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean the elliptical is good or bad, mind you. It just means the marketing department of some brand is trying to sway your decision.

#3) Nobody’s Perfect.

While there are some incredible elliptical trainers out there, no one brand has a 100% perfect track record.

Even the best brands sometimes make a dud. And it’s usually the customers who bought the dud that go online to complain about their horrible experience.

They have every right to do this. Hopefully the manufacturers will take these reviews into account and try to improve their models. But don’t let a few bad reviews throw you off track.

Remember that people are much more likely to complain (leave a bad review) than to praise (leave a good review). It’s unfortunate - but it’s human nature.

So remember that even though Model A may have 3 negative elliptical trainer reviews, there may also be 2000 very satisfied customers that bought Model A and didn’t leave a review.

Here’s the bottom line - If you’ve spend the time to research different ellipticals, then trust your decision.

Try to keep it all in context - balance user reviews with expert reviews with your own comparison of ellipticals in your price range. By doing this, you’ll get the best overall picture of the quality of elliptical that you’re considering.

Understanding Heart Failure

Heart failure means the heart has lost some of its ability to pump blood and not, as is often assumed, that the heart has stopped beating. The two kinds of heart failure are “systolic heart failure” which refers to the heart muscle becoming weak and not being able to pump enough blood out with each beat and “diastolic heart failure,” where the heart muscle has become stiff and has lost the ability to relax and fill completely with blood. Taking your medication, eating right, watching fluid intake, and exercising will help prevent heart failure from getting worse and can sometimes improve it.

The heart is a muscle with four chambers that pump blood. The “atria” are the upper two chambers, the “ventricles” the lower two. The heart is really two pumps that together move blood through the body. The right-sided pump fills with blood returning from the body and pumps it to the lungs to receive oxygen. The left side of the heart receives blood from the lungs and pumps it out to all parts of the body. The right-sided pump only has to pump blood to the lungs; it is a thinner muscle than the left-sided pump which is a strong, thick muscle.

If a person has heart failure, his heart may not pump enough blood to the lungs and other parts of the body during activity. The result is a shortage of oxygen and nutrients in the blood that make a person weak and tired. A backup of blood can be caused when the heart is not pumping well. Fluid leaks from the blood vessels into the tissues as a result of the backup. This is referred to as “congestion.” Congestion may lead to difficulty breathing, swelling in the ankles and legs, or a loss of appetite. The causes of heart failure are varied. Common causes are blockages in the blood vessels, high blood pressure, disease of the heart valves, diabetes, infections of the heart muscle, cancer drugs, and genetic abnormalities that run in families. If no cause is known, it is referred to as “Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy.” Symptoms of heart failure can be symptoms of other medical problems as well, i.e. weight gain of more than two pounds overnight or five pounds in a week, shortness of breath after simple activities, difficulty breathing while lying down, cough, weakness or fatigue, swelling in the ankles or legs, loss of appetite, belly pain and fullness.

Shortness of breath or feeling weak after activity is the first clues to heart failure. A doctor may use one of several tests to find the out the cause of your symptoms and decide on treatment. Possible tests include: an Electrocardiogram (”EKG” or “ECG”) which records the electrical activity of your heart; an Echocardiogram (”Echo”) which is an ultrasound of the heart; a Chest X-ray, an MRI, a Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test which is a kind of stress test; a MIBI Stress Test; a PET Scan, Blood Tests, and Heart Catheterization which include right heart catheterization or left heart catheterization.

Are You Tired of Suffering From an Over-Active Bladder?

Are you a woman that would you like to experience relief within days from bladder incontinence, frequency, urgency and pain? Would you be interested in stopping needless suffering and embarrassments? How about being able to go shopping & traveling with confidence? If you are one of the millions of people suffering from an over-active bladder you are not alone!

Symptoms include frequent urination, urge incontinence (unintentional loss of urine), and an unstoppable need to urinate. Many people suffering from these symptoms have been forced to wear padding to prevent embarrassing public accidents. The downside to wearing padding in undergarments can be uncomfortably, skin rashes, bladder and kidney infections and urinary track infections. Over time problems such as these can also lead to social, psychological, occupational, domestic, physical, and significant sexual problems.

Professors at Hamilton University have discovered that an amazing 65%, an estimated 35 million, of all women all over the world who are past the child-bearing age of 40, have over active bladders, are incontinent or both. It seems that the most offered alternative is surgery. Surgery can be costly, sometimes ineffective, and carry potential side effects. It is always a good idea to exercise all alternatives before finally deciding on surgery as a course of action. And what about women with whom surgery is not an option because of health related issues?

One common option for treatment to relieve over-active bladder symptoms can be pelvic muscle rehabilitation, this seeks to improve pelvic muscle tone and prevent leakage. There are four types of approaches to this method, which include kegel exercises, biofeedback, vaginal weight training, and pelvic-floor electrical stimulation. Kegel exercises are especially helpful for younger woman in good physical health, these include daily exercises performed thirty to eighty times per day for at least eight weeks. Biofeedback is used in conjunction with the kegel exercises to gain awareness, and help regain control of their pelvic muscles. Another treatment to be used with kegel exercises is the pelvic-floor electrical stimulation, this is done by administering mild electrical pulses to stimulate muscle contractions. The last treatment using pelvic muscle rehabilitation is to insert small weights into the vagina twice daily for fifteen minutes, for four to six weeks, this helps by strengthening the vaginal muscles.

There are behavioral therapies available to people suffering from incontinence, such as bladder training and toilet assistance. Bladder training teaches individuals how to resist the urge to release, and gradually increase the intervals between releases. Toilet assistance uses scheduled and routine toilet breaks, habit encouraging schedules, and prompted releasing to empty the bladder normally to prevent leakage.

If surgery and therapy do not sound appealing to you, there is an at home option available on the market to help with these problems. Many women have discovered a product called Bell Bladder Control Tea. This tea has been found in most cases to help control incontinence and quickly alleviate the burning sensation during urination that is associated with bladder infections. By drinking one cup a day of Bell Bladder Control Tea, you can be on your way to taking back control of your over-active bladder!

Secrets To Choosing The Best Natural Skin Care Cream

The best natural skin care cream contains a number of plant extracts, plant oils, vitamins, antioxidants and honey. The best skin creams are those that moisturize and protect. They prevent damage from free radicals and support the skin’s cell renewal process.

The best skin creams stimulate the production of collagen and elastin fibers. They prevent infection and heal minor injuries. They are useful in the treatment of a variety of conditions and they counter the problems that come along with age.

You will not find the best natural skin care cream in your local drugstore and you can’t buy it from the Home Shopping Network. It’s only my opinion, of course, but I’ve compared a lot of different products and the ingredients that they contain, so I think I know a little bit about the subject.

The major cosmetic companies use ingredients that do not support the skin’s health. In fact, some of them contain ingredients that are known health hazards. When I think about some of the things that I have rubbed all over my face and body, over the years, without knowing, it’s scary.

Did you know what petroleum jelly is? It’s a byproduct that is created when crude oil is removed from the ground to be processed and turned into gasoline. Everything that Unilever makes contains petrolatum, same thing as petroleum jelly. It’s just white.

Mineral oils sound like something good. Mineral oil is actually liquid petrolatum. Look it up. I did.

The best skin creams contain plant oils like olive, jojoba and grape seed. Those are effective moisturizers, because they are very similar to the oils secreted by the glands of our bodies.

Mineral oil is not similar at all. It’s not even really a moisturizer. It sits on top of the pores and creates a barrier that locks moisture in, momentarily. If used regularly, lotions that contain it will inhibit the skin’s natural rejuvenation process. That’s not my opinion. That’s what dermatologists advise.

The best natural skin care cream was created following along with dermatologist’s recommendations. They advise the inclusion of antioxidants manufactured using the latest nanotechnology so that they will have the most effectiveness.

The best skin creams contain antioxidants, because they destroy free radicals. Free radical damage is what causes the outward signs of aging and eventually lead to skin cancer.

The best natural skin care cream contains amino acid protein peptides, because that’s what dermatologist’s advice to increase collagen and elastin production. But, you have to be careful, because some of the companies use synthetic peptides that are “derived” from naturally occurring ones. And, they still call “natural”

The best skin creams do not contain added fragrances or preservatives, because dermatologists say those are the two most common causes of allergic reactions. Instead, they contain natural vitamin E, an effective preservative and also an antioxidant.

The best natural skin care cream, in my opinion, is made in New Zealand by a company that I trust to provide safe products. You’ll be happy you looked into it.

Dr. Valerie Rosenbaum is a dermatologist who specializes in the natural skin care products using only clinically proven natural ingredients. At her website she recommends the best natural skin care creams. For more information visit her website http://www.DefendYourSkin.com
